1932 – Vito Genovese was 16 years old when he first came to the lower east side from Naples in 1913. He was friends with Lucky Luciano. Later they ran brothels and sold heroin. Hezbollah said the attack was to avenge the killing of a Lebanese Hezbollah leader, Sheik Abbas Musawi, whose convoy was wiped out by an Israeli helicopter gunship in South Lebanon in Feb 1992.
